Taquila, Catherine's golden retriever from europe, is nothing compared to Rudi, a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
We house sitted in Sudbury for 2 weeks while the K. and her family were visitng Quebec.
K. was the first to offer me work already when i was back home in India. I worked with her for a week in her garden preparing the land and her vegetable garden for a "kirtan" that they were hosting. We connected easily and quickly.
Her dog, Rudi, liked me from day one. These dogs were trained to hunt lions. He is 9 years old. Soft, gentle and playful.
He did growl the first day at both of us more at Catherine, the newcomer. It took a few days for them to bond. I had him in my command though it did take me sometime to be extra playful with him.
When he gets to his playful, cheerful and happy mood he is lots of fun. A little scary as he is big and dogs like to nibble at you :)
Every morning i would walk him around 20 minutes in that area.
A lovely house with carpet floors. Her son plays the electrical guitar. So another dream of my realised. Fun it was to play the electrical guitar with a mic too! I felt like a star :)
There were some days that it was hot. I had to water the plants often enough to keep them smiling. Pleasant to be in a house with no AC and with windows open!
The best part; it was close to work. So, less fuel consumption and less driving :)
